Combine PDFs without a cloud upload

What happens when PDF files are merged?

Merging copies the pages from each source into a new document. JustUtils preserves the page artwork and original page dimensions, while letting you correct page order, rotation, and unwanted pages before export.

  1. 01

    Add the source files

Choose at least two PDFs. They appear one after another, with the original filename under every page.

  2. 02

    Check the final order

Drag thumbnails or use the arrow buttons. Rotate or remove individual pages before creating the combined file.

  3. 03

    Merge and verify

Download one PDF, open it, and check the first page, the joins between files, and the final page.

Practical details

Order matters before you export

Files are initially appended in the order you choose them, but filenames are not always a reliable reading order. The visual grid numbers the final sequence, so you can inspect the transition between documents before merging.

Mixed portrait, landscape, Letter, and A4 pages keep their own dimensions. The tool does not stretch every page to one size or turn text into a screenshot.

Privacy and practical limits

Every PDF is read and rebuilt in this browser tab. There is no server upload, waiting queue, account, watermark, daily task allowance, or provider file-count limit.

The 500 MB per-file safety ceiling is designed to reduce accidental browser crashes. Available memory and page complexity determine the practical limit on your device.

PDF features to verify in the result

Page artwork is copied without intentional recompression, but a rebuilt PDF is structurally different from its source.

  • Unlock encrypted PDFs before adding them; the tool does not ask for or remove passwords.
  • Digital signatures generally become invalid when a signed document is rebuilt or combined.
  • Bookmarks, attachments, form behavior, and document-level metadata may not carry into the new combined PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before you edit

How many PDF files can I merge?

There is no service-imposed file-count limit. Each file may be up to 500 MB, while the practical total depends on your browser and available device memory.

Does merging reduce PDF quality?

No raster compression is applied. Existing PDF pages are copied into the output, and the smaller thumbnail images are used only for the on-screen preview.

Can I merge PDFs with different page sizes?

Yes. Portrait, landscape, A4, Letter, and other page dimensions can coexist in the merged document without being stretched.

Can I remove or rotate pages before merging?

Yes. Select individual pages or a Shift-click range, then rotate or remove them. Removed pages have a one-step undo before export.
