01

Bring your URL

Paste a website address and choose Preview. A domain without a protocol uses HTTPS. Try the built-in interactive demo if you want to explore first.

02

Choose your perspective

Search 27 phone and tablet presets. Rotate the viewport, adjust the visual scale, and keep or hide the device frame. The CSS viewport stays precise at every scale.

03

Explore. Then share.

Click through your page, test its layout, then choose Share → Copy link. The recipient opens the same URL with the device and display settings restored.

More devices. More perspectives.

These presets define CSS pixels, the units used by responsive layouts and media queries. They are not physical display resolutions. Landscape swaps the width and height; Fit to screen changes only the visual scale of the frame.

For example, an iPad Pro shown at 50% still renders the website at a 1024-pixel portrait width. Browser chrome and safe areas are not subtracted from these preset rectangles.

Presets describe CSS layout space, not hardware emulation. Browser toolbars and Android display scaling can change the real viewport. The device list is a curated selection, not a market-share ranking.

A PRACTICAL REVIEW

What to test beyond the first screen

Start with a task your visitor should complete: find a product, read an article, or send a message. Use the phone preset in portrait and walk through that task. Check long headings, menu expansion, button labels, and fixed headers rather than judging only the first screenshot.

Look between the breakpoints

Move to iPad mini to catch cramped intermediate layouts. A sidebar that fits on a large tablet may leave the main content too narrow here. Look for tables or fixed-width images that push the page sideways. Then rotate: a shorter landscape viewport can make dialogs and sticky sections difficult to use.

Exercise forms and finish on hardware

Use a development page to test empty fields, validation messages, and longer values. Verify keyboard focus separately; a layout that looks correct is not automatically accessible. Before release, check mobile keyboard behavior, touch targets, Safari-specific rendering, and performance on physical devices. This preview is a useful layout check, not a replacement for those tests.

MDN: how embedded frames work ↗·Embedding permissions ↗

Device preview questions, answered.

Can I click and scroll inside the preview?

Yes. The page is a live iframe, so links, buttons, scrolling, and forms work when the website and your browser permit them. Actions can affect the real website; use a test environment for purchases or other consequential submissions.

Why is a website blank or refusing to connect?

Websites can block embedding with X-Frame-Options or Content Security Policy frame-ancestors. JustUtils cannot bypass those rules or reliably detect a blocked external frame. Try the built-in demo, open the website directly, or ask the site owner to allow this preview origin. HTTPS pages also cannot normally embed HTTP content.

Does this emulate Safari or an actual iPhone?

No. The tool changes the CSS viewport and device frame in your current browser. It does not reproduce iOS Safari, touch input, device pixel ratio, browser toolbars, safe-area insets, or the on-screen keyboard. Confirm device-specific behavior on real hardware.

What is included in a shared preview link?

The loaded URL, device, orientation, scale, canvas color, frame visibility, and full-window setting. Opening the link restores them automatically. Native fullscreen still requires a click. Fit to screen adapts to the recipient’s available space while keeping the device viewport dimensions. Cross-origin navigation inside an external site stays private, so sharing uses the last URL loaded in the tool.

Are preview URLs uploaded or stored?

The tool keeps settings in page memory. Share links encode them in a readable URL fragment rather than a server record. Anyone with that link can read the included URL. Your browser contacts the embedded website directly; that website may use its own cookies and receive connection information. JustUtils site analytics are described in our privacy policy.
