When removing a PDF password is useful
An unlocked copy can help when a trusted document-management system, e-signature workflow, page organizer, or archival process cannot accept password prompts. The output contains the same document content without its encryption dictionary.
You need a password that is already authorized for the document. This page is not a recovery or cracking service and cannot help with an unknown password. If access was supplied by an employer, bank, publisher, or records provider, follow their terms before creating an unlocked copy.
Removing encryption also removes the protection it provided at rest. Store the result carefully, restrict access at the folder or device level, and delete extra unlocked copies when they are no longer needed.

Check capitalization, spaces, keyboard layout, and whether you copied an extra space. Some files use separate open and owner passwords; either valid password is accepted by this tool.
Will removing the password change the PDF?
The encryption layer is removed and the file is structurally rewritten, but pages are not rasterized. Text, links, forms, images, vectors, and page quality are preserved.
Can I unlock several PDFs at once?
This version handles one file at a time so a wrong password or sensitive output is easy to identify. Repeat the process for each document.
Is it safe to save an unlocked PDF?
