DPI and JPG quality are different controls
DPI decides how many pixels are rendered from the PDF page. Higher DPI makes text and fine diagrams sharper but uses more memory and creates larger images.
JPG quality controls how strongly those pixels are compressed. Around 85–92% is usually a good compromise for pages containing both text and photographs.
